PA to the Chief Examiner Job Description.docx

ABRSM is proud to be the world's leading provider of music learning and assessment services. Every year, over 600,000 musicians take our exams, in over 90 countries. We support the teaching and learning of music in partnership with the Royal Schools of Music. Our mission is to inspire achievement in music.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and talented PA to provide proactive, one-to-one support to our Chief Examiner. Your key responsibilities will include managing the Chief Examiner’s very busy diary, making travel arrangements, drafting and preparing correspondence, assisting with preparation of presentations and organising meetings. You will be the first point of contact for external enquiries from our examiners and consultants wanting to contact the Chief Examiner, therefore you will need the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of people. You will also be accustomed to handling sensitive or confidential issues appropriately. Basic musical understanding would be an advantage, given that the Chief Examiner’s department focus is around musical education and assessment, but is not essential.

If you have proven experience in a similar or related position, and enjoy the challenge of working in a busy role - sometimes under pressure - we would love to hear from you.

ABRSM is a friendly company that offers its employees a range of benefits, including an interest-free season ticket loan (after passing a probationary period) and a contributory pension scheme. We are based in contemporary offices with good facilities for staff close to the Barbican in the City of London, which has excellent transport links.

Applications must be submitted online by 10.00 on 31 January 2018.

Interviews will take place on 7 February 2018.

For enquiries please contact Nicky Prentice: nprentice@abrsm.ac.uk

ABRSM is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and we expect our workforce to share this commitment.
