ABRSM is proud to be the world's leading provider of music learning and assessment services. Every year, over 600,000 musicians take our exams, in over 90 countries. We are a charity supporting the teaching and learning of music in partnership with the Royal Schools of Music. Our mission is to inspire achievement in music.

We are recruiting for the role of Operations Coordinator: Practical Exam Delivery to join the Practical team in our Global Operations Department, which is responsible for the delivery of graded exams, Diplomas, Music Medals and other assessments and services across the world. The department processes all exam entries, schedules, appointments and results. The Practical team is responsible for the delivery of practical graded music exams worldwide. This particular role works with our representatives in the UK, Hong Kong, Macau, Thailand, Caribbean and Africa, liaising with them in the promotion, planning and all processes necessary to ensure the smooth delivery of our exams. They also follow up after each exam session, analyse data and use this to propose and implement improvements for future sessions.

To succeed in this role, you will need a strong customer service background and relevant experience of coordinating operational processes, ideally internationally, as well as the ability to analyse data and use finance systems to process expenses etc. Great communication skills are essential, as you will be in regular, close contact with international representatives and our examiners and you will also need to work collaboratively with your team colleagues. Experience of training and delegating administrative tasks to colleagues would be an advantage. We would also like to see some knowledge of/interest in ABRSM’s work and aims.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop a variety of skills, working in an exciting and dynamic environment with friendly colleagues.

ABRSM offers its employees a range of benefits, including an interest-free season ticket loan (after passing a probationary period) and a contributory pension scheme. We are based in contemporary offices with good facilities for staff close to the Barbican in the City of London, which has excellent transport links.
