The Learning & Qualifications Development Manager is a central role within the Products & Services department, reporting directly to the Deputy Head of Learning & Qualifications, working in collaboration with other lead roles in Products & Services, particularly the other Learning & Qualifications Development Managers, the Head of Publishing and the Head of Digital Products and Innovation. The post-holder works with internal teams and external contributors in the development and review of qualifications and assessments that are in use in around 90 countries around the world, with a particular focus on connecting developments to music education practice.

The Learning & Qualifications team is part of the Products & Services department, which contains ABRSM’s in-house experts in the design, creation and delivery of a growing range of products and services, including qualifications and assessments, music books and digital and audio resources. It also has responsibility for the compliance of its qualifications with the qualification regulations issued by the regulators to which it is subject – Ofqual, Qualifications Wales and CCEA. The corporate context is that the Products & Services department is charged with evolving a strong and unified offer to its customers in order to meet the corporate objective to enhance the range and relevance of ABRSM’s products and services and maintain appropriate standards.
